Musings From The Midpoint popped into my head in early 2009 while closing several chapters in my life, and beginning some new ones (little did I really know what was to come).
I was sitting on my couch on the 14th floor of a high-rise condo in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood listening to Native American music and finishing up the new book “Ignore Everybody” by Hugh MacLeod. (The guy is brilliant.)
That little book made a big impression on me at exactly the right time in my life.
I started this blog in 2010… and wrote it for two years until I packed up everything I owned and moved to rural New Mexico sight unseen. That was August 2012 and I left my life in Seattle behind to build the business of my dreams.
Little did I know how much my life would change in the process.
Now it’s Spring 2019, and I am just getting back to writing, painting and creating for the sheer joy of it – just as I began in 2010.
Since abruptly leaving New Mexico in early 2013, my business partner Matthew Ferry, is now my husband. (God really does have a sense of humor.)
Today I find myself living in suburban So Cal, a wife, and bonus mom to three awesome boys. In the meantime, the business of my dreams was created.
But it’s not been an easy road.
Finally, I am inspired to create again… just for me. And, I am inspired to share along the way.
So, poke around. See if there is anything here that will inspire you to open a new chapter in your life.
In the coming days, weeks and months I intend to use this blog as a place to share, rant, rave and express the new version of me that is emerging.
I have to confess, I am getting pretty excited.
