if i am being really honest, i’d like to speak to audiences worldwide about topics that i am passionate about – The Gift, being a business owner….. i’d live in palm springs half the year…. and in seattle the other half… i’d have a painting studio, and experience having a show at a gallery somewhere fabulous… i’d write for a national publication…. i’d have my friends over for incredible 5 course meals and we’d laugh all night…. i’d start businesses with some of the most visionary leaders on the planet in the human potential space…i’d travel in style…. i’d be…

worry is a waste opinions are overrated sadness is suffering ask yourself…. will this worry, opinion, or sadness matter in 10 years? 10 months? 10 minutes? is it moving me forward or backward? i bet you’ll find it really doesn’t matter all that much. and if it does. ok.
we are surrounded by guides and gurus and plain clothes prophets. did you know? do you know? met another one today. sitting in a corner of a room in a church in the center of a city. david. full of light, and clarity, and love and wisdom. as listened, i thanked the divine for this moment, here in this room, in this church, in this city. and i remembered that when i slow down… i connect with others… source pours itself on me. and i learn. and i remember to watch for these guides and gurus and prophets in plain…
Mary Morrissey and my other mother, Colleen Schuerlein were at Unity Church this morning. I went to see and learn and hug and love and check in with this two woman tornado of wit and wisdom I’ve known for 30 years now. Mary was in her brilliance. And I was ready to receive. “The Universe reads your intention by your attention” That hit home. The power of intention to attract, call forth, and harmonize with that which we desire. But more important, it’s where we put our attention that activates the whole system. Oh, Mary. Thank you for reminding me.…
Every time I hang with my mentors I learn. Every time I apply what I learn, I gain mastery. With mastery comes miracles. Nice.
Last night was the world premiere of The Gift Live. Hundreds attended. Friendships were forged. Miracles were present. It was a night I will remember a long time. I never tire of watching people getting connected to each other… and seeing the light in their eyes when they experience their dreams starting to manifest. Getting to play a small role in those kinds of transformations is a joy…. all the time, energy and effort that went into creating last night are worth its weight in gold when I get to witness that level of life unfolding. And then today, the…
What thoughts aren’t working for you? “I’m not successful” “I can’t afford that” “Work sucks” “The economy is bad” “People are rude” “That shouldn’t happen” “Life is hard” “I am always late” Any of these sound familiar? Now, consider subtracting these thoughts, by simply adding new ones to your repertoire. “I am successful” “How can I afford that?” “Work rocks” “The economy is picking up” (or my favorite “I am in control of my personal economy”) “People are doing their best” “That was unfortunate” “Life is good” “I am on-time-girl!” Here’s what’s so cool; we get to make it up!…
Dictionary.com uses words like “reduction” “decrease” and “minus” to describe “subtraction”. Works for me. In a culture where you can literally find just about anything you desire at any time, one of the most important things we can do is decide what we AREN’T going to do. Or more importantly what we aren’t going to focus on (but that’s a different conversation altogether). Deciding what to DO in our day to day lives defines who we are, how we interact with the world and what we value. The things I am subtracting from my life are things I put there…
I am becoming a raving fan of deleting things. Yep; Stopping. Saying no. And just plain old canceling that which no longer delivers joy and a sense of purpose to my life. I have three buckets I am playing in right now: #1 is my business, #2 is my passion, and #3 contains all the things I am eliminating from my life – rental homes in Idaho with a petty owners association, and a property manager who lacks accountability; my commercial condo and the thankless job of being the board chair that comes with it; and I am putting a…
After attending a memorial service for one of my mentors last week, a friend of my mentioned that despite her intense shyness she had an enormous footprint. Indeed! It got me thinking about the reach of our lives, and the legacy we leave. I began to wonder about mine. Am I impacting lives in a positive way? I believe we have the power to shift the experience of another in a nanosecond. A little care, and little compassion, a little thoughtfulness goes a long long way. As we celebrated Julia’s life, and we mourned her passing, one thing was abundantly…
